New Jobs

Hi everyone! Once again a long past due update. But, here we are enjoying life and everything that is going on. Peter started a new job 2 weeks ago and is absolutely loving it. He is at St. Joseph Provena Hospital (the same one Kendra works at) and he is in medical staff office. His official title is medical staff office coordinator. He is essentially checking the credentials of new hire doctors and making sure the current doctor's are renewing their credentials when they are supposed to. He works with all women and they adore him. I guess he is pretty likable :). I have also started in a new department at Costco. About two months ago Peter and I started believing for a new position for me at work. The food court was a good experience but I felt I had learned what I needed to and was ready to move on. So, about a month later my manager came to me and asked me if I would like to be an assistant front end manager. Praise the Lord. A very quick answer to prayer. So, I am now on the front end managing about 35 employees and I absolutely love it. God is so faithful and knows the timing of things far better than we do. So, we are both enjoying our new jobs, all the while being blessed and being a blessing. Peter has also decided to start his own business as a Primerica financial advisor. He is being trained by my Uncle Dan from Michigan who so willingly comes once a week to spend time with Peter. Peter is already thriving in the business and learning a lot from my uncle.

On another note, our sweet niece Disa Lynne was born on July 18 at 11pm. She was 6 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 inches long. We have only been able to see pictures but she is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to meet her. I hope to put some pictures up soon.

I will close for now and hope to update all of you sooner rather than later. As you can imagine, life is only getting busier but we will do our best to keep you up to date.

Love, Peter and Kristin

Long overdue update

Hi all,

Sorry for the long delay in updates. Peter has quit his position at Wells Fargo Financial, and starts his new job at St. Joseph Hospital on July 5th as an Office Coordinator; he will be making more money than before and his new job is just 5 minutes from home, God is so good.

Kristin is still managing the food court at Costco, she just recently far exceeded her income goal for the quarter, so her managing to put up with Peter (he is a handful)has carried over into managing her employees.

Today is our 25 month anniversary, hard to believe we have been married for just over 2 years, both of us have to really stop and think to remember ever not being together. For our anniversary we went to the hotel we stayed in on our wedding night, it is called the Herrington Inn, a wonderful hotel on the Fox River about 15 minutes south of Elgin, I have enclosed some pictures for you to enjoy.

Well thats all for now--God bless Peter and Kristin (posted by Peter)

Hello Again!!!

Well, as you can tell, life has simply passed us by and we have just now found the time to update you on everything. Yes, we are still alive and breathing. God has been so faithful to us these past 6 months. Times have been slightly challenging but through everything we both have grown in our relationship with Christ and with each other. California was certainly needed and we truly enjoyed our time away, even though it was not quite long enough. Now we are finding that our 2 year anniversary is just less than 2 months away!

Peter has been busy with work. He has his Monday thru Friday job while learning the skill of balancing real estate into the spin of life as well. Real estate has certainly picked up for him, which has been a tremendous blessing from God, although it can be time consuming.

Kristin has been busy making pizzas at Costco and has just recently gained a full staff of employees. This is a first since becoming a manager in September 2006! Even though she was short staffed, she has learned a lot in over 7 months and loves her crew of employees. Her job certainly keeps her busy in and outside of the warehouse, but she loves the busyness and the challenges that come along with it.

We hope this finds all of you doing well and enjoying God's presence like never before. We hope to keep this up to date more than we have and we would love to hear from you. Here are some pics from our fabulous trip to San Diego and Los Angeles.

Here we are at Coronado Island, off the coast of San Diego.

This is a beautiful sunset off of the Pacific Beach Coast that we stayed on. On this particular night we took a walk on the beach in our barefeet!!

Our last morning in San Diego was gorgeous. We ended up taking some really nice pictures on the shore. This was also the view from our balcony.

While in San Diego we visited Balboa Park. It was a very nice area to walk around and see different gardens. We thought we would take a fun pose by the fountain. The weather was beautiful.

While in LA the weather was 70 degrees one day so we went to this outdoor shopping mall. We ate at the restaurant with the red umbrellas. We were able to eat outside. We were so blessed by God with the beautiful weather.

While in LA we were able to stay in a 4 1/2 star hotel. It was extremely nice, but a little bit too much for me. We stayed on the 31st floor and had a great view of the city.

Hoffecker Home

This is a picture from 2 years ago of our beautiful home. It is a 2 story town house in Elgin, IL. Sorry that we have not posted more, we have been very busy with work and life in general, not to mention that we forgot our password and had to figure it out. To give you an idea of how busy, our Christmas decorations are still up. I think we will just save the trouble of putting them up again next year, its only 10 months til next Christmas--on second thought I think we will take them down.

We are heading to sunny California for a much needed vacation, we will post some nice pictures when we get back on the 12th of February.

With all our love, Peter and Kristin
